RODENT CONTROL

Rats and mice cause a huge loss of food worldwide. Besides eating our food, they spoil it by contamination with their feces, urine or fur. A number of species of rodents serve as vectors for diseases to man and animals. Transmission of diseases by rodents such as salmonellosis, leptospirosis, and food and mouth disease, can happen through direct bites or through fecal and urine contamination.

Rodents cause damage to buildings by their burrowing and gnawing activity. They can squeeze through very small openings ( ¼ to ½ of an inch). They gnaw through many types of materials, such as wood, plastic, paper, insulation materials, hollow blocks, aluminum and electrical wiring. Gnawed electrical wiring presents a very real fire hazard.

Among the numerous Rodent control techniques employed by our company are:

  1. Rodent baiting with the use of bait stations and bait packets placed in inaccessible areas shall be maintained throughout the duration of this contract. Additionally, glue traps and trap stations shall be used along rodent pathways.
  2. Thorough inspections shall be conducted by our trained pest control technicians, who shall be required to submit their written recommendations regarding the need for the improvements in sanitation and physical pest barriers.
